Christian Service International

Christian Service International (CSI) is an evangelical, interdenominational Christian service organization. The ministry is incorporated in the state of Kentucky as CSI Ministries, Inc., and is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501 (c) (3) organization. CSI is registered to do business in the state of Indiana as Christian Service International.

CSI is the outgrowth of a vision received by one of God's chosen evangelists in 1963. God's leading was to promote missions by taking people to see first-hand what He was doing to get His Word to a lost world.

In 1978 the entire ministry of CSI was turned over to Eddy Cline and the International Headquarters was moved to Muncie, Indiana where be and his wife Shirley operated the ministry out of their home. By 1987 the ministry had grown significantly and a new office building was purchased. The International Headquarters is now located at 1714 W. Royale Drive in Muncie. Field headquarters are located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Highgate, Jamaica.

HOW IS CSI FINANCED?

All CSI staff members raise their own support through financial contributions from family, friends, and churches. These contributions, called shares, are generally received on a monthly basis. One time cash gifts also help meet the needs of staff members and their families.

Projects are funded by cash gifts from individuals and churches. 100% of the gift goes toward the project for which it is designated. There are no deductions for administrative or bookkeeping expenses.

Funds for general operating expenses are generated from the operation of teams. The tour price for each person serving on a short-term team includes an administrative fee.

Several times each year, or as needed, special appeals may be made for general operating funds or for specific needs of the ministry.

Planned giving through estates, annuities, life insurance, real estate and other charitable gifts are also means by which individuals may support the ministry of CSI.

All gifts to CSI are tax-deductible as contributions in accordance with applicable Federal and state laws.  CSI is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability and is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) organization.
