One afternoon, while working on the computer, I heard a chorus of the older girls chanting “BEND-OUT, BEND-OUT”.
The English was clear as a bell but what in the world were they doing? I snuck over to the balcony and peeked over the edge (not wanting to disrupt the chanting before figuring out just what was going on).
I found that two of the little girls were on swings. The older girls were giving them a starting push then chanting “BEND-OUT, BEND-OUT”. I realized that the older girls were teaching the younger ones how to swing the same way I had taught them. I would give them a push, then tell them, “bend your knees, now kick them out.” They remembered this, and then used it to teach the little girls what they had learned, “BEND-OUT, BEND-OUT.”
This is such a reminder to me that God uses things and PEOPLE in our lives to teach us, with the expectation that we will pass on to others what we’ve learned.
Don’t you love the little reminders of His Word that God puts in front of us in our daily lives?
Swing high.
