Christian Service International is pleased to announce plans to ship a forty foot container of supplies to the missionaries serving in Haiti. Plans are in place to ship the container in September of this year.
At HOPE, we have been putting together a list of specific items we would like to include in the container. We are looking at ways to decrease our operating budget by purchasing items in bulk at lower prices in the US and bringing them to Haiti via the container.
You have all heard about and experienced the significant cost increase in fuel and food items.
We are hoping to purchase many food and household items to include on the container.
CSI has designated container coordinators in the US and in Haiti. All questions or comments regarding the container should be addressed to Jim Todd (jtodd@csiministries.org) or Toby Banks (tbankscsi@yahoo.com)
Strict regulations surrounding the shipment of goods on both the US and Haitian sides require specific packaging and labeling of all items shipped in the container. If you are interested in sending specific items, please contact one of the coordinators. No items for the container will be accepted at the home office without prior authorization of the coordinators to insure that all items received meet the needs of the ministry and the governmental packaging and labeling requirements.
The CSI home office in Muncie, IN is now accepting funds on behalf of HOPE to allow us to purchase the specific items we need. Tax deductible donations can be sent to:
CSI Ministries, Inc.
1714 West Royale Dr.
Muncie, IN 47304
Be sure to indicate HOPE operating on your donation.
HOPE is looking for the following specific items for the container. If you have access to these items please let us know:
- Elementary style desks and chairs
- Copy machine and supplies
- Comb binder and supplies
- Several laptop computers and printers
- Banquet tables and chairs
We’ll keep you posted on items we are looking for. Thank you for your faithful support of the Lord’s Work in Haiti.
